The next morning, light filled the bright dining room of the Vance estate.
Julian sat at the long table with his top family lawyer, Mr. Hayes.
They were reviewing the legal papers to strip Victoria of all financial rights.
Because of the video evidence, Victoria would receive nothing in the divorce settlement.
She was also facing serious criminal charges that would keep her locked away for years.
Sarah entered the room softly, carrying a tray with warm tea and light toast.
Sarah: Good morning, Mr. Vance. Good morning, sir.
Julian: Set the tray down, Sarah, and please sit down with us.
Sarah looked surprised, but she pulled out a chair and sat down quietly.
Julian: Mr. Hayes is preparing the final paperwork for Victoria's asset forfeiture.
Julian: But we are also here today to discuss your future in this home.
Sarah felt nervous, wondering if she was going to lose her job.
Sarah: Sir, if you need me to leave after everything that happened...
Julian: Leave? Absolutely not! You are the hero of this house!
Julian reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a clean white envelope.
He slid the envelope across the polished wooden table toward Sarah.
Julian: Inside this envelope is a check for fifty thousand dollars.
Sarah stared at the check, her mouth opening in complete shock.
Sarah: Mr. Vance, I cannot take this money from you!
Julian: You saved my son's life without thinking about your own safety.
Julian: This money will pay off your sister's medical bills completely.
Tears of pure happiness welled up in Sarah's eyes as she held the check.
Julian: Furthermore, I am promoting you to the head manager of this entire estate.
Julian: You will have a higher salary, better hours, and full authority here.
Sarah: Thank you so much, sir! I do not even know what to say!
Little Leo giggled softly in his high chair nearby, playing with a small toy.
Sarah walked over and picked the baby up, holding him close with a warm smile.
The dark storm that hung over the house had finally passed away forever.
